Pink yourself up for Breast Cancer Awareness month

As in past Octobers I am devoting a portion of my sales this month to the highly respected Living Beyond Breast Cancer.

From now through October 23, I will donate 20% of the sale price on any of your purchases from my Etsy shop and web store to LBBC.

Even though pink’s my favorite color, I know it’s not everybody’s. In the past I donated a portion of sales of vintage items in pink during weeks in October. Now, whether you like pink or not, I want you to be able to be part of this. This year, any color goes, so pink yourself up in any color you like!

Thank you for helping with this important cause that affects so many—too many—of us.

This October is the 25th anniversary of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A number of pink items in my eBay store are being sold to support Living Beyond Breast Cancer, my way of honoring those who have survived cancer, and remembering those who I will miss forever.

(Click on photos for more information about the items.)

1. 40s peach rayon blouse with pink sequins and clear beading

2. 50s designer jacket with great details

3. 3-part harmony by the beloved designer Bonnie Cashin

4. Hand-knit sweater jacket with roses

5. 80s blouse with fabulous ruffled collar

Pink vintage, and a request for your photos

1.

In honor and memory of Mary Catherine Lamb, for the remainder of October I am designating 10% of the sale price on all pink items in my web store to Susan G. Komen For The Cure Foundation. By pink I mean anything with pink. (If you have any doubts, email me!) Also, check out similar offerings from other Vintage Fashion Guild Members.

2.

I am putting together my November monthly theme (see some of my previous themes at the Denisebrain Theme-o-matic) and would like to include images of people who have bought vintage clothing from me, wearing their vintage finery. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet, but thinking about Thanksgiving, as takes place here in the US next month, I want to show my appreciation for all my great customers. Have anything I might use? Please let me know by emailing me at mwilds@qwest.net. Thank you very much for your help!
