A great anniversary in the history of equality

...and an excuse for some inspiring Etsy finds by way of my latest Treasury:

August 18 is the 90th anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, giving women the right to vote. My mother never, ever, failed to vote, and considered it a great privilege as well as her right. I urge you not to forget how much this meant to our mothers, grandmothers and great-grandmothers.

It's an Etsy world, and we just live in it, part 2: Seattle, mi amor

I was fortunate enough to grow up in Seattle, and even though I live just 285 miles away in Spokane, I haven't been back in over two years. Last time I was there it was sunny and rainy and I saw a double rainbow for over an hour; just another typically spectacular day.

I miss Seattle, and went looking on Etsy for images to remind me of home. I even miss slugs...a little.

It's an Etsy world, and we just live in it: 8 things that Santa could do to make up for the fact that he NEVER brought me that pink canopy bed

Did anyone else love the pink canopy bed found in the Sears catalogue for years? I still have a soft spot for all things pink and girly, and while gazing around the wonderland that is Etsy, I have bookmarked some items that I'll probably also never get, but if Santa would like to make up for that canopy bed, here's his big chance.
