This beautifully-made 1960s shift dress is labeled Corona Vienna and "Wiener Handarbeit" (Viennese handmade). The fabric is a finer synthetic knit—probably polyester—in cream. The upper front bodice is made of fine, sheer mesh with meticulously sewn stripes. The soft cord which makes up the stripes also is used in looping patterns around the neck and armholes, and for the sweet flowers. These flowers have glass bead centers. The dress is lined and has a long back nylon zipper.
Size: bust = 36"; waist = 30"; hip = 37"; back of neck to hem = 37.25" Although the fabric is a knit, the lining is not and these are the measurements of the lining. |
