Frank Starr – Ted Shore Original label gown with Old Hollywood glamour.
Dating from the 1940s, this dress is a rare find, both gorgeous and in remarkable condition. Its constellation of prong-set golden metal, turquoise bead and rhinestone studs would make any woman feel like a glamorous 1940s Hollywood star. The label is Frank Starr – Ted Shore Original.
The dress’s bodice is unlined black rayon crepe and the skirt is sheer chiffon over rayon taffeta. There are cap sleeves and small shoulder pads. Wide bands decorated with studs are attached at the sides of the waist, designed to be crossed in front and tied in back. The under skirt flares smoothly and the chiffon layer is fuller, especially at the center front, where there are tiny gathers. Side covered metal zipper.
