Rayon faille with deco-angled tucks
Dating from about 1946–48 by my estimate, this striking dress has that era’s clean, serious and yes, handsome sensibility. The dress is made of unlined rayon faille, and it is labeled Fashioned by Dorothy Hubbs. There are wide tucks angling across the front of the bodice and the skirt. There are shoulder pads and 3/4-length sleeves. The dress has a short back metal zipper at the neckline, as well as a side covered metal zipper.
Size: Bust = 41.5"; waist = 29.5"; hip = 42"; back of neck to waist = 17"; waist to hem = 28.5"; shoulder to shoulder = 15.5"
